We have available puppies! A puppy litter was born to Dusty & Willow on February 13, 2024. There are currently 4 males and 2 females available. Puppies will be ready for their new homes at 8 weeks old, starting April 9th! At 3 weeks old (3/5/24), they are growing fast: eyes opened last week, teeth are coming in, they are curious, getting stronger at walking and playing with each other, and starting to bond with us, responding to our cuddling and coaxing them to play. Every bit of their tiny 3 pounds is so cute and adorable - soft puppy, shiny bright eyes, and beautiful expressions - we really wish we could keep them all! Willow has been a great mom, quite exhausted but very happy with her puppies.

A 4 minute fun peek into the best of Dusty and Willow in action.

Originating from Scotland, English Golden Retrievers were once bred for hunting, so they have strong retrieving instincts and can be readily trained to be service dogs, or be simply taught to enjoy playing a game of "fetch." The European standard breeds for calm temperaments and gentle dispositions. They are sweet and affectionate, playful, eager to please, intelligent, and attentive. They are very sociable and love to follow their owners everywhere, which can make them great companion dogs for adults and children. With proper nurturing, a reward system (such as verbal praise and food or toy treats), and firm but gentle correction, young English Golden puppies can be easily trained to obey commands.

Physical characteristics of the English Golden Retriever include large dark or medium brown eyes, black eyelids (with white eyelashes!), and black-pigmented nose and lips, contrasted against their lustrous creamy white fur. Unlike the standard American Golden Retriever, the English Golden Retriever is bred according to European standards, with a typically blockier wide skull, stockier body, and wider muzzle. Healthwise, English Golden Retrievers statistically tend to have increased longevity, stronger immune systems, and lower cancer rates than their American counterparts.
